Who said shopping in Paris is expensive?

I found Jimmy Choo shoes out on the street today thrown out with someone's trash. They are pretty fabulous, just my size and only a tad bit scuffed. Nothing the shoemaker on 21st and Sansom can't take care of. I didn't have a bag so I held them and was concerned that someone would recognize her garbage and point at me and call me...well, I don't even know what she'd call me...and in any case, I'd just point right back and call her a dummy for throwing out such gorgeous footwear.

After thinking about this (these shoes) I thought to myself, self, who else but Merri would even recognize such a shoe just walking past a refuse container? I must have walked past scads of Louis Vuitton and others and not noticed. Just the other day, while walking to a client's house ( around 22nd & Venango) I noticed some thrown out ladies cowgirl boots but I did not recognize the, probably, cheapo Western brand of Manolo Blahnik.
